Waggoner Family Thanksgiving '08

Waggoner Family Thanksgiving Day was such a Great Day ...
the sun was shining and warm, and we had a good time visiting (and eating!) ...
and finding out some family news alerts :)
Here's some photos ...

The day before Thanksgiving as we were baking pies, Elyse noticed this on our patio door ... we don't know how the image is there, there's no cross anywhere to reflect ... Elyse snapped the photo. No matter how the image is there, it's All about Jesus, and our Thanksgiving to and for Him!

Kayla and Elyse were my helpers the day before, baking pies, dusting, and I give Thanks for them :)

The first "blog" announcement ...
Pam & Jerry are engaged to be married January 2 ...

She has the ring to prove it ... our prayers for Jerry as he joins our family ! :)

Mema & Papa digging in ...
that's a bite of buttermilk pie on the way to Papa's mouth :)

What's the first thing to do after the Thanksgiving meal?
Search through the Black Friday shopping ads !! :)

... a "father-son" fireside talk?

Papa scanning a map.... wonder if he wants to run away? :)

The next "blog" announcement ...
Quinton & Weston's Tshirts told us ...
They're going to be Big Brothers to a new baby !!!
Woo Hoo!!! Another blessed little one to join us !!!

Sage & Kristal ...

It was another good family day,

What about our country?

This article by Dutch Sheets should be sobering and thought provoking ...
I encourage everyone to read it.

And yet, we should never forget Psalms 91 ...
claim it as your own, personalize it for yourself ...

Gene and Pat, that dwell in the secret place of the most High
shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

We will say of the LORD, He is our refuge and our fortress: our God; in him will we trust.

We shall not be afraid for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Because we have made the LORD, which is our refuge, even the most High, our habitation;
There shall no evil befall us, neither shall any plague come nigh our dwelling.

Because they have set their love upon me, therefore will I deliver them:
I will set them on high, because they have known my name.
They shall call upon me, and I will answer them:
I will be with them in trouble; I will deliver them, and honour them.
With long life will I satisfy them, and shew them my salvation.
